Frequently Asked Questions
Learn how to set up Conturs and start scoring leads in minutes.
General
What is Conturs?
Conturs is a privacy-safe lead scoring platform for B2B sales teams. It analyzes your CRM data, learns from your best customers, and scores every new lead by similarity to those customers. Scores range from 0 to 100, with full transparency into why each lead scored the way it did.
How is Conturs different from traditional lead scoring?
Traditional lead scoring uses manual rules ("if job title = VP, add 10 points") that break when your ICP evolves. Conturs uses similarity matching — it compares new leads to your actual closed-won customers and finds patterns automatically. No rules to build or maintain.
What does "transparent scoring" mean?
Every score comes with a full explanation: which factors contributed (company size, industry, tech stack, funding, growth signals), which of your existing customers this lead is most similar to, and what specific traits they share. You see the why, not just a number.
Scoring
How are scores calculated?
Conturs analyzes your closed-won deals to build a similarity model of your ideal customer profile (ICP). New leads are compared against this model across multiple dimensions: company size, industry, tech stack, funding stage, growth signals, and more. The resulting score (0–100) represents how closely a lead matches your best customers.
What data do you need to score a lead?
At minimum, a company domain (e.g., acme.com). The more data available — company size, industry, tech stack, funding — the more accurate the score. Conturs enriches missing data automatically when possible.
How often do scores update?
Scores update in real-time when contact data changes in your CRM (via webhook, under 30 seconds). A full re-sync runs daily to catch any missed updates. The scoring model itself improves continuously as you close more deals.
What do the score ranges mean?
80–100 (Grade A): Excellent fit. Very similar to your best customers. Prioritize immediately.
60–79 (Grade B): Good fit. Worth pursuing with a targeted approach.
40–59 (Grade C): Average fit. May be worth nurturing if other signals are positive.
20–39 (Grade D): Below average. Low similarity to your winning patterns.
0–19 (Grade F): Poor fit. Very unlikely to convert based on historical data.
Can scores change over time?
Yes. Scores are percentile-calibrated, meaning they adjust as your data grows. If you close a deal with a new type of customer, the model learns and adjusts scores accordingly. However, scores are designed to be stable — small data changes won't cause dramatic shifts.
Privacy & Security
Is my data safe?
Yes. Conturs processes data locally within your environment. We store anonymized patterns (e.g., "companies with 100–200 employees in B2B SaaS convert well") — not individual records. Your CRM data is never shared with third parties.
Is Conturs GDPR compliant?
Yes. Conturs is designed with privacy by architecture:
No personal data storage — only anonymized scoring patterns
No data sharing with third parties
Data processing within your environment
Full data deletion on request
Compatible with legitimate interest basis for B2B prospecting
Is Conturs CCPA-CPRA compliant?
Yes. Conturs does not sell personal information, does not share data for cross-context behavioral advertising, and supports consumer rights (access, deletion, opt-out).
Do you have SOC 2 certification?
SOC 2 Type II certification is in progress. Contact security@conturs.com for our current security documentation.

Pricing
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan includes 100 API requests per month — enough to test scoring on your leads and evaluate the quality before committing.
How do credits work?
Each scored lead = 1 API request. Whether you score via CRM integration, API call, or Google Sheets formula, each scoring operation counts as one request against your monthly limit.
What happens if I exceed my limit?
API calls beyond your monthly limit will return a 429 (Rate Limit) error. Existing scores in your CRM remain intact. You can upgrade your plan at any time from Dashboard → Billing.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Yes. Plan changes take effect immediately. When upgrading, you get access to the higher limit right away. When downgrading, the change applies at the next billing cycle.
